The magical combination of Merlot and Cabernet Franc creates a wine of more aromas, a diversity of complex flavors and the ability to pair with a broad range of foods - making Right Bank Bordeaux the wine fan's favorite for centuries.  Even Bacchus is reputed to have said, "if I could have only one wine for the rest of my life, I'd choose a Right Bank Bordeaux."

THE Wines of Cricket Hill

2007 Rendezvous, Applegate Valley Estate Vinted

"the wine of guilty pleasures"

Wine is unusually aromatic with a complex nose of cedar, spices, and toffee.

Flavors are many and subtle including mint, red cherry, currants and flint.

A lingering finish reminds you of why you love the wine.  As the label says, once you experience the guilty pleasure of this wine you may not be able to resist a repeat performance.

A very food friendly wine, its first review since release - a 96 rating.

2007 Le Mystique, Applegate Valley Estate Vinted

This single vineyard blend has a nose of wooded forests, fresh raspberries, candied cherry, nutmeg and chocolate.

On the palate, the wine's rich fruit core and fine soft tannins are lush with flavors of fresh berries and warm spice which lingers for a long and graceful finish.

With enough elegance to pair well with foods, it’s a wine that drinks beautifully with meals.

2006 Applegate Valley Estate Vinted Cabernet Franc

2006 was probably the vintage of the decade here in Southern Oregon and this late harvest wine took advantage of the year.  Then it went into barrel for an unheard of 5 years to emerge as an unusually dark fruited Cab Franc.

The nose on this wine is all about cocoa, cotton candy, coffee and toasted caramel.

Jammy mouth coating flavors are anything but subtle and include chocolate, spices, some minor citrus and toffee.

A wine that can be enjoyed all alone and whose perceived sweetness can even stand up to spicy Mexican or Chinese Szechuan.  In its first review since release a rating of 94.
